And to look back upon the year with satisfaction of accomplishments made, rather than dwelling on missed goals. A time to celebrate with a good old fashioned Christmas Party.
Yet for those of us assigned to organise these annual affairs, they can be stressful. Finding out who wants to come, and who else they want to bring with them. Who needs to be sat far apart from each other, just in case. And who needs what particular dietary requirements met. Doing it all yourself can be a challenge.
Which is why we at the Varsity Hotel Cambridge strive to make your life as easy for you as possible. We offer a pair of flexible Christmas Party Menus which can easily be scaled up or down depending upon your requirements. And our sales team has plenty of experience in dealing with all the niggling little details which can make or break such a gathering. Smoothing out all the potentially problematic details so that you can focus on having fun.
…To be Jolly! The Varsity Hotel consists of multiple venues, two of which are suitable for the most memorable of Christmas Parties: our Six Panoramic Restaurant, and our River Bar Steakhouse. Unfortunately our iconic Roof Terrace remains closed and so unavailable over the winter as it is an open air venue – so doesn’t do too well with the cold and the dark. Most people say that our Six Panoramic Restaurant has the second best views in Cambridge (trailing only our own Roof Terrace). Six floors up, open plan and with all exterior “walls” being glass you can see why. If hired outright we can accommodate up to 140 guests for a seated meal, or more for a less formal standing reception. Or instead we can host perhaps dozens of smaller parties for individual departments, rather than one big one for a whole organisation. Our flexible system makes things easy for you.
Alternatively, we also have the smaller ground level River Bar Steakhouse. While Six is open and expansive, the River Bar is compact and snug. A combination which makes it ideal for Christmastime. For it is in the cold winter months when you really appreciate a cozy venue whose décor exudes warmth and friendliness.
